What a delightful, fun read. Mysterious happenings to Mitchell kept me turning pages. Afraid of ghosts or not, the events would send anyone running and screaming, “haunted house!” But the faith element kept me grounded that it wasn’t the case. Still, I wondered.
The bit of romance tickled me as I didn’t see it coming, despite all the blatant nuances. Once again, I love it when the character transforms into someone I really like. Ms. Havig does just that. Most of them irked me, but a growing love for them filled my heart as I read. I think what I enjoyed most was how well the author transported me right into the setting, and I forgot that I lived in California and not back east. Enjoy this fun ride, and pick up her book here.
I hope Chautona Havig writes more about the Shopkeepers of New Cheltenham, but I’m thankful she’s such a prolific writer, and I have lots of books to choose from.
